I’m stunned! My short story Limpet Teeth came first in the 2019 Rachel Funari Prize for Fiction.

My huge congrats to the other prizewinners, Rae White and Emily Dang, and to all the shortlisted writers. And the biggest thanks ever to Lip and judges Alison Evans (Highway Bodies), Danielle Binks (Begin, End, Begin) and Melanie Joosten (Gravity Well). I’m so honoured to be a part of this prize and this legacy.

Thanks too to Affirm Press, Black Inc, Echo Publishing, Scribe Publications, Fremantle Press, Writers’ Victoria, Kill Your Darlings and the Emerging Writers’ Festival for their support of the prize.
